The Chinese-African People's Friendship Association

The Chinese-African People’s Friendship Association (CAPFA), founded in April 1960, is a national people’s organization of the People’s Republic of China. It was initiated by 17 national people’s organizations including the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), All-China Federation of Trade Unions, All-China Youth Federation, and All-China Women’s Federation, etc. The CAPFA aims at enhancing mutual understanding and friendship between the Chinese and African people, promoting the exchanges and cooperation between China and Africa, safeguarding world peace, and promoting common development. http://www.capfa.org.cn/en/about.asp

China Africa Industrial Forum

The traditional Sino-Africa friendship is the common and precious wealth for Chinese and African people. Continually pushing forward toward the new strategic partnership on China and Africa is a common wish and choice for both China and Africa. Institute of African Studies Zhejiang Normal University

The Institute of African Studies at Zhejiang Normal University(IASZNU) is the first institute for comprehensive African studies in Chinese higher education institutions. The Africa Asia Centre of the Royal African Society

The Royal African Society is Britain’s prime Africa organization. Established in 2007, the Africa Asia Centre facilitates and develops interdisciplinary research, teaching, and other activities aimed at understanding this emerging, dynamic axis of engagement. The Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries

Founded in May 1954, this organization's sole purpose is the promotion of friendship and mutual understanding between the Chinese people and other peoples throughout the world. Representing the Chinese people, it makes contacts and promotes exchanges with friendly organizations and people all over the globe. This work allows it to serve as a link in the friendly relations between the Chinese people and the people of the rest of the world. China has experienced high levels of sustained economic growth, averaging over 10 percent per year for the past two decades and in the second quarter of 2010, China surpassed Japan as the world’s second-largest economy.From 1990 to 2005, China’s poverty rate fell from 60 percent to 16 percent, and the absolute number of extremely poor fell from 683 million to 208 million. China has become an influential development actor, and its economic success is significantly and directly impacting developing countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, and Latin America. According to the World Bank’s 2010 Global Monitoring Report, “Development assistance from China will likely more than double in the next three years.”
